Speeding through Summer

It has been a busy summer for everyone at VIU and there is a lot to update everyone on:

• The Housing Department has updated us that there will no longer be a $175.00 Accommodation Fee. We have deemed that this is a service that each student deserves to take advantage of at no cost!
  
• The Marketing Department has started a promotion to reward our students for their referrals! If you refer a friend to VIU and htey list your name on the application, VIU will reward you with $100 off of student fees! For more details, contact the Marketing Department!
  
• Orientation is almost here again! VIU will welcome all of our new students on August 27th at 9:00 AM at the Waples Campus. The orientation will be followed by a picnic to welcome all new students to the USA!
  
• The ISS Office welcomes all students to stop by for a visit if you are travelling this summer. There are some special procedures you will need to take care of prior to travel.
  
• OPT!!! Our ISS office asked that we remind any students who are in their last semester of study that if you wish to stay in the United States, it is an excellent idea to sign up for OPT. Contact Yukari or Liz for more details!

We are getting really excited for the fall semester and can't wait to see each of your smiling faces back on campus!
